The major overhaul of the bucket wheel excavator was carried out under the conditions ordered by SD a.s. – Doly Bílina and completed in February 2006. The major overhaul included renewal of worn parts and modernizations of determined units. These modernizations used the structural solutions on the KU 800/18 bucket wheel excavator that were realized and field proved on the KU 800 bucket wheel excavators in the companies SD a.s., MUS a.s., and SU a.s., or also on the K 2000 bucket wheel excavator in Doly Bílina.
The machine main parameters remained consistent with those before the major overhaul.
